Sleeps 4 Ratings Star Ratings Star Ratings Star

Description

Who would argue that the Langdale Valley is not one of the best fell walking areas in the Lake District?

The cottage is beautifully situated on the Dungeon Ghyll side of Chapel Stile. It has spectacular views of Lingmoor Fell across the valley and the Langdale Pikes further up the valley.

Langdale is a walkers paradise and there are many high level walks in the area some of which will test even the fittest walker. For the less energetic there are numerous lower level walks to enjoy and an abundance of visitor attractions within easy travelling distance. Windermere, Coniston Water, Grasmere and Rydal Water are only a short drive from the cottage. The other lakes, although a little further afield, are readily accessible by car or bus and a bus timetable will be in the cottage.

Lingmoor View is no more than a few minutes walk from Chapel Stile. Elterwater is a little further afield but still within easy walking distance. There are pubs in Chapel Stile and Elterwater, and others in the area, all of which serve excellent bar meals.
